What’s the difference between Free, Pro, Team, and Enterprise?

Free offers access to all MCPJam features on our open-source core: Playground, OAuth Debugger, Evals, Swarm, and User Testing. Users on Free get 200 credits daily, and a one-time grant of 500 free eval iterations that can be used indefinitely.

Pro supports individual developers who need access to additional usage credits, unlimited trace history, and email-based support from the MCPJam team.

Team is designed for teams collaborating on production-grade MCP servers. Team plans offer additional credits to support regular testing and integration in CI/CD, basic role-based access control, and priority support.

Enterprise plans are for companies deploying enterprise-grade MCP servers at scale. Enterprise plans offer SSO, an uptime SLA, custom RBAC, audit retention, and data processing agreements.

Is MCPJam really free?

Yes, MCPJam is open source and free forever. You can start testing with 200 daily credits and 500 eval iterations by opening MCPJam in the web app, installing the desktop app, or running locally:

Upgrading to a paid plan gives you access to additional usage credits and features designed for teams of various sizes (see “Compare plans” above).

What’s a credit?

A credit is MCPJam’s basic billing unit. Credits are billed when you use hosted LLM models in sessions (option to BYOK), in addition to a set number of credits for every prompt sent to each model in a session.

The number of credits charged for a prompt varies by feature:

• Playground: Free, 0 credits charged (except for LLM usage)
• OAuth Debugger: Free, 0 credits charged
• Evals: 3 credits / prompt
• User Testing: 3 credits / prompt
• Swarm: 5 credits / prompt

What happens when I run out of credits?

Free hosted models lock. Anything you run with your own API key (BYOK) keeps working, so bringing your own key is the simplest way around a daily cap.

Do credits pool across my organization or belong to each seat?

Organizations share credits across team members. Only admins can purchase additional credits or upgrade plans.

Can I cap what my org spends?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Org owners can set a budget ceiling on MCPJam-billed work and get warned at a threshold (80% by default). Work run on your LLM keys doesn’t count against the budget.
